Local Services Ads Fees

How are you Charged for your Local Services Ads leads?

When you market your services through Local Services Ads, your business will be charged for each valid lead you receive through your Local Services ads. 

Each valid lead received will count towards your advertising budget in your Google Ads account and the prices charged for leads may vary depending on many factors such as your location, the job type, the type of lead, or your bidding mode.

Once you’ve hit your monthly budget, your local services ads will no longer appear for the remainder of the month unless you increase your Google Ads budget.

To view how much your business has been charged for your leads, visit Billing menu in your Ads leads inbox.  

Please remember, since billing for Local Services Ads is managed by Google Ads, any suspension in your Google Ads account will also suspend your Local Services Ads.

Please Note: Phone Leads and Booking Leads are charged at the same rate whereas Message leads are currently priced at 50% of the corresponding phone or booking lead. 

Message and booking leads are only available in Canada and the U.S. at the moment.

What Leads are Considered as Valid Leads?

Please Note: The ability to dispute charged leads is currently only available in the U.S. and Canada.

Valid leads are related to your business or to the services you offer, and can occur in the following situations when customers find your Local Services ad on Google:

  • You receive a text message or email from the customer (US and Canada only).
  • You receive a voicemail from the customer.
  • You answer a phone call and speak with the customer.
  • You receive a missed call (without a voicemail), and you return the customer’s message with a text message, email or call where you either speak with the customer or leave a voicemail.
  • You receive a booking request from a customer (US only).

How do I get Started on Google's Local Services Ads?

The Local Service Ads with the Google Guarantee are not available everywhere yet. Click on the form at the bottom to register your details and we will let you know as soon as we know.

To make your registration process easier and faster:

  1. Ensure you have a Google My Business profile, that is verified, populated and contains at least 1 review. If you need help with this, give us a call on +61 2 8006 1001 or complete the form below. Please understand, the verification of a Google My Business profile can take up to 2 weeks especially if using the postal method.
  2. Gather up your insurance documents – Personal Liability, Indemnity and public liability.
  3. Check that your trades licences are up to date and keep the numbers handy.
  4. We will send you a list of all you need once the Local Services Ads program live in your area.
